Vegan Fudge Brownies

You’re going to be knocked out by this insanely good recipe for vegan brownies. And they’re so quick and easy to make in a food processor. Serve them to your family and friends and they won’t be able to tell the difference.

Vegan Fudge Brownies


Ingredients

MAKES 8 250g ripe bananas 70g apple sauce 1 tsp caramel flavouring 60g vegan cocoa powder 1 tbsp granulated sweetener 35g vegan chocolate protein powder 1⁄2 tsp fine sea salt 50g vegan chocolate chips, plus 15g extra for topping 1⁄2 tsp fine sea salt


Method


1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/170°C Fan/Gas 5. 2. Line a 20x20cm brownie tin with non-stick baking paper, leaving a little extra sticking out on either side, to help with lifting out.

3. Place the bananas, apple sauce, caramel flavouring, cocoa powder, sweetener, protein powder and salt in a food processor and blitz, until you have a smooth batter. Mix in the 50g of chocolate chips by hand and spoon the batter into the tin evenly, then scatter the remaining chocolate chips over the top, pressing them down. 4. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, then remove from oven and leave to cool slightly before lifting out and cutting into 8 squares.
